Something a little Different
Well i had a lil mishap, and cracked the front clip, knocked a mirror off, and a small hole in the rear fender. All this at about 3 maybe 4 mph (grass and front brake, not cool). Not wanting to spend a great amount on new plastic(debating on selling to get a newer style bike), i decided on changing the look. And a buddy that said he could fix the better portion for a very small price. Let me know what yall think about the new look. Im not sure if i love it or hate it????
Oh yeah, i do know these decals are not the ones that go on bike, but thats what was sent to me. And i didnt have the patience to wait no longer.
I will be posting the finished look here shortly.

Im not real sure. A buddy of mine has a small body shop and i just went thru and picked what i liked. In the can it was like a sparkling silver, but on the plastic it is more like that champagne that was popular on vehicles in and around 2000 or so.
Im not sure, it was on there when i got the bike. It has a crack in it and i have been thinking about trimming it down, hell if i mess it up it will give me a damn good reason to buy a new one.
thanks for the compliments. I was a little worried bout what others may say, sh_t who am i kidding( I nevered cared bout others opinion of my rides). Thanks again though.
Any of yall ever heard of somebody doing a little trim work to the windshield? If so how did they go about it?

I don't mean to be a downer but i like the old look better honestly.
I have done my own trimming on my screen. Just make sure you have an even mark for the cut then use a hand grinder with a cutting blade. Cut a bit higher than the line so you can go back and make the finishing touches. Once you get it cut go to your local autozone and pick yourself up some black rubber tube (about 2') and apply that to the edge to smooth it out. You can use some thinner tubing but i went thick and i am happy with the result and since i have a smoked screen i dont have to worry about looking through it on tucks either...
Your bike still looks good. I am just more of a darker type. I think matching up those rear fairs would complete the transition.
