I have been think about getting new tires soon. so i wanted to get some input on the kind i sould get. Ok let me tell you how i ride first really it is mostly stright line rideing, i might pop the frount end up now and again but not all the time. no burn outs, just riden. I just want to get my moneys worth out of them, so if anyone one has a idea let me know thanks

 

i'm a firm believer in the michelin pilot powers. they are great for any type of riding really. and you get so much out of the tires. the best part is that they aren't really expensive. i've been using them for almost 2 years now and wouldn't go with anything else.

 

the michelin pilots are a good choice...i prefer the bridgestone battleaxe myself. you get great grip and longevity all in one, either tires are a great choice.

 

if most you do is straight riding shinko 005s are like 170 shipped. might wanna try that out then tell us how it wears : )

 

I mounted some metzeler m3's and absolutely LOVE them over the Pilot Powers. Not that the PP's weren't good, but these seem to have a lot better steering response, both in the initial and when leaned over, not to mention they seem to allow for more lean angle than the PP's. Plus they've eliminated my problems with headshake.

I got my m3's for $237 shipped. Pilot powers for a 160 rear and 120 front can be had for around $220ish shipped...maybe less

www.motorcycle-superstore.com is where I got the M3's from. Can't find the site with the really cheap PP's, all I remember is that was ALL they sold was the PP's because they bought them in BULK. They also had sets of the Power Racers starting at around $250ish

 

I'm running Dunlop Roadsmarts. Dual compound on the rear, meant for commuting mostly, but they'll handly the twisties nicely. Never felt them slip, but I've only got about 600 miles on them so far.
