Can you be a little more specific on your description ? Is it popping out of gear at 11,000 (I'm assuming you meant 11k rpm, not 11 rpm) ? Or is it revving faster than the bike is accellerating ? Different causes.

mine sometimes jumps out of 2nd gear, usually when shifting without the clutch under hard acceleration.

How many miles are on your bike ? Do you know the bikes history ? What Type/Brand of oil are you using ?

Im not exactly sure because i bought the bike in early November and only rode for about 1000 miles and i have not done an oil change yet. The bike has 18,000 miles but im not sure what kind of oil the guy before used.

The symptoms you're describing indicate a clutch that is slipping while under a heavy load/ high power output. Start with the easy things and change the oil with something you know. The wrong oil can cause the problems you're describing. Unless the PO's used the bike on a track or just didn't know how to shift, clutchs usually last well past 50k miles. You shouldn't be having those issues now at that low mileage.

PO probably put some oil in there with the wrong detergents like dirt is suggesting. I think the only way to solve that problem, assuming that's it, is to replace the clutch plates, can anyone confirm/dispute that? It was my understanding that once you use the wrong oil and develop slipping problems that just going back to the right oil won't alleviate the slipping...
