Hi all
I purchased a set of side panels for the bike. I specifically purchased 1996 panels as the 1997/98 are different. Taillight seems fine, General fitment is ok but I have no mounting points other than one rubber grommet on each side. I am wondering if there are brackets that I am missing for them?

Maybe if someone could post a picture or two of their panel and mounting, that would sure be appreciated. I am wondering if what I bought is wrong.

If there like mine they have 1X rubber post in the front under the tank.
1X rubber post under where you sit and a little hole under the grab handle which hooks over a small plastic stub on the rear. Mine are loose on the rear because of no tabs. Will try and post pictures.
Sorry mine is a 98

 

I appreciate that, thanks. I believe the largest difference between the 96 and 97/98 is the taillight.

Well after more parts arrived, I was able to place the front panels on the bike. It's now easy to see how it all fits. Luckily the side panels fit and were on our way.
