Right hand side handlebar switch

I have a US bike (live in the UK) and it would appear that UK models had a slider on the RH handlebar switches to turn the headlight on and off, the US bike doesn't have this. I'm assuming it is law to have the headlight on all the time?

Anyway, my question is, would the wiring loom be the same as the UK bike so i could fir the switch from the UK bike to my own? As in plug and play?

Thanks.

US bikes only have a high low switch. I have seen another rider add a switch to turn off his head light when doing track days. That way the headlight doesn't weld duct tape on to the lens. If the slider switch is near the high/low beam, you should be able to splice it in. Plug and play? Not so much, but still doable.
