Resculpture and Recover rider seat

I decided to make my rider seats more comfortable and recover them. The first one I did was my 600f then the 1000rr. I am a complete amateur when it comes to this sort of thing but with the aid of a few simple tools one of which anyone can make at home... a metal jar lid with nail holes in it :-) I set to work. The finishes look very professional. The 600 was covered by an upholsterer friend, the 1000 I bought a cover online and it fits perfectly. For pics and more info http://bazzasmotoblog.blogspot.com

Cleaned the link up a bit to make it work. Pretty decent looking outcome, gonna be trying to reupholster myself a "touring" seat at some point to my daytona as the original padding is about as thick as a box of matches, gonna be a bit of a challenge though as I want it to be several cm higher than the original so probly gonna have to sew the cover from a top piece and a side strip, the last time I've touched a sewing machine with the intention to use it I believe was some 15 to 18 years ago...

Hey Mattson, Checked your blog great read and that is one neat looking Trumpy Cafe Racer. With all the work you have already done to your bike I dont think you will have any trouble doing the seat my 600 was the one I made into a more sports touring seat I used different foams for that one and now its so comfortable. I will follow your progress. Bazza
