Reinstalling rebuilt forks

Reinstalling rebuilt forks
After rebuild with Race Tech Gold Valves. These were set for my 165 pound rider weight. Question is, once I reinstall these on the bike what's a good starting point for setting the rebound and such? Should I follow the maintenance manual standard 3 ring adjust? The way the tech who rebuilt them has them set is 1 ring showing. Just looking for starting point before going riding to fine tune the ride.
Thanks for the input.

This is a good reference I like to use:
Honda Sport Bike Motorcycle Suspension Settings - Honda Sport Bike Review - Sport Rider Magazine
It's a good baseline to start with. However, most suspension shops only charge about $50 to set up your suspension.
Another good resource is:
Suspension Setup
I know they say rebound is the "magic" setting for suspension, but most of that means squat until you have the proper sag setup. Hope this helps.

That's a good reference chart - I appreciate the link.
On the rebound damping, in terms of "turns out", that's starting at the so-called SOFT setting on the adjuster? So, back it all the way counterclockwise and then turn it 1.5 turns clockwise? or do I have this reversed? Or is rebound really a matter of preference and experimenting.
