Default Recently bought an F3 and need help finding a way to look up bolts for fairings.

To say the least the guy neglected the thing. I got a good deal on it but I need to give it a lot of TLC, which is what I do with all the things I have anyways. First, the previous owner made an ugly looking custom shorty exhaust that compromises clearance alot. It sticks past the peg a little. Not that I'm going to be comfortable leaning it so far over, I just wanted to fix that. So I bought a slip on MotoGP shorty.

Second is plastics and my main question. Where do I find information on sizes of bolts to get to install the new fairings?

Also It has a very small oil leak that leaves probably a couple drops or so on the ground per day. Enough to not do anything but bother me a whole lot. What would be a good way to track this leak down. It looks like it accumulated a little so it's hard to eyeball the leak. Any suggestions? I'll post pics of the beast.

Thanks!

As for the fairing bolts go to this link
http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...oup/LOWER_COWL
But i believe the bolts are at a stupid price of like $2 each.
Also if you need the bolts for the upper fairing click on upper cowl on the left

For the oil leak get some Gunk degreaser and clean it up then see where your drip in coming from and go from there.

I use this to get OEM part info, including numbers:

http://www.babbittsonline.com/pages/...d/default.aspx

Then you can just google around.

That may be good for part numbers, but don't buy anything there. The prices are straight retail. You might as well go to your local Stealer. At least you woudn't pay shipping.

I converted to a street fighter, so I'll sell you all my fairing bolts for like $15 shipped.
