Default Rear shock

can anyone tell me if there is a major differnce between the rear shock on the F3 and the rear shock on the F4. Just thinking time to do some suspension work.

F4 shock will make your bike a bit taller. I think my buddy did this swap and his bike feels taller but also harder on bumps. I guess its better for a track but street wise I would prefer softer set up.

do you know if it was a straight swap or mdifications needed. Mines way to soft i would prefer it a bit harder. I didn't know it would make it taller but at 6'0 it may help. lol

I don't think you need any modifications on it.The F4 or F4i shock is 1" longer than the F3.I had an extra F4i shock and gave it to a friend who had an F3.It does sit higher but looks nice in my opinion.

I put the F4i shock on my F3... No need for major modifications...

I also did it to my bike, check my photos in my album to see ride height. It is a bolt in shock no modification required but the reservoir doesn't fit where it does on the F3 because the hose on the new shock is way shorter. I cable-tied mine onto the frame near the fuel pump, so can't see it as it is covered by fairing anyway.
I love the shock it give the bike a more modern bum up feal and stance.

Just my 2 cents
