Rear Brake flush, now brakes do not work
i have a 98 f3
front brakes are great went to do a brake flush on the rear, used dot 4 brake fluid. (same stuff i used in my track car, AP Racing) i figured it wouldn't make a difference. got all the air out, but now my rear brake sucks balls is there some sort of trick to this? thanks |

DOT 4 is the recommended fluid.
What makes it suck? Does it feel soft or spongy? Does it fade? |
RE: Rear Brake flush, now brakes do not work
i have dot 4 fluid
before i changed it, i could lock up my rear tire, and it had a lot more stopping power now that I changed it, the pedal is hard, but it just doesn't come to a stop, well it does, hardly at all. i can press down as hard as i can, and still nothing happens |

Did you replace the pads or get any brake fluid on the pads that were on it? I just put new pads on my bike and I didn't think it was going to stop at all. After riding the rear brakes for awhile they started working great.

You still have air in the line. The higher you get the rear when you bleed them the better.
