Default 87, 89 or 91 octane

What octane is recommended mt Honda in the owners manual for the 95-96 F3? I read around the forums here and came across F4 guys using 87 octane because it's recommended by Honda.

I'm 99% sure it is 87 and any higher octane will NOT give you more power, higher gas mileage or anything that people will say, It will just cost more to fill it up everytime.

i believe Honda recommends 87 oct for our F3's.
id also try and get gas from places that have the lowest ethanol (if possible), as it seems to hurt the rubber components in the carb bikes over time from what ive heard/read.

+1

The thing to watch out for is that in some countries the higher octane fuels ARE the higher quality ones with less ethanol and more cleaning agents to prevent lacquer buildup. But higher octane than you need is pointless unless the engine has been designed to take advantage which an F3 certainly hasn't.
