Quitting Issue
Today was the second time my 97 f3 decided to cut off on me in the last few weeks. Riding home on the freeway at 70-75 @ 6k rpm after about 7 miles my bike quits on me completely, runs fine until that point. Last year I took it on a 700 mile trip in 2 days so this seems to be a recent occurence. After the first occurence I assumed that it was something fuel related, because it felt like I had just lost fuel pressure or something. Now I believe that it is an overheating problem, because I am able to start it up shortly (20-30 minutes) after it quits. I checked the coolant overflow reservoir and it is at the lower mark when it is cool (where it always has been) but I havent checked to determine if the fan is still working. I find it strange that it would overheat on the freeway and I looked over everything after I rode it the rest of the way home on backroads. Any suggestions on where to start or similar problems experienced?
Thanks
