Question on seat valves.........????

...

Hi guys...i am finally doing some work on the head..boring...for oversize new piston kit.....but the seat valves are super tight....

the question is..Do I have to really have to replace them..and if I do..is it only using the oven the easiest option to remove them????

Thank you a lot for your input....

Ivan.

your best bet is a valve spring compressor, then if there all within spec, just re-lap them into the head, or get a machine shop to do the whole job for you.

hope this helps,

Ant.

You don't replace valve seats unless their outside specs. If you have to replace them, get a machine shop to do it.
