Default Question about popping after having carbs cleaned.

Recently i had my carbs cleaned. After they were cleaned and i started riding it i noticed that after releasing the throttle there is popping when slowing down. It never did this before having the carbs cleaned. What could it be?

It's usually a sign of running lean. When you decelerate, you run lean naturally, but now it's showing itself more as a result of a different carb tune/adjustment.

A couple a years ago i added a micron full exhaust system. Will my bike benefit more from installing a jet kit?

It is pretty well known that our bikes are tuned for emissions and economical purposes, and therefore not performance.

A jet kit will allow you to get the most out of your exhaust and engine, overall.

It is recommended to re-jet when you put on a higher-flow exhaust like a slip on, but not necessarily a must.
