1 mechanical turn is the maximum position your wrist will move, so 1 turn=1/2 turn

your wrist can only do a max of 180 degrees, so thats listed as a turn

are you sure that 1 turn (360 degrees) is not simply equal to 1 turn? that 180 buisness sounds questionable to me

I heard that too. But from a carpenter, might be different on mechanics. I've been doing half turn cause one 360 • 2 is pretty far out.

They mean 1 full 360 degree turn.Doesnt matter what discipline you are working in a turn is a turn.If they wanted a half they would say a half turn.I think (I may be wrong) the manual calls for 1.5 turns = 540 degrees. My sons bike with K&N and slip on idles and runs fine at 2 turns out.Any bike from early 80's and on has fuel screws set lean anyway from factory for E.P.A.

Yes 720 degrees.I can understand wanting to be sure as these carbs in particular are a pain to get off but you will be fine at 2 turns.
