I was riding my bike today for the first time and the temp got up to 3/4 of the way, it didnt go past that mark, when i was in some traffic and it cooled down as soon as i got back on the highway. is this normal? thanks

 

depending on how hot the temp was outside yes very normal

 

Yeppers, they run a lil' hot.

I've heard varying opinions on what to use. I'm getting ready to try something different myself, I'll keep ya posted.

 

+1 on that note havoc mine was at 5/8 today and as soon as i started rolling again it went down to quarter and it was 93 here today

 

You guys suck! Around my area it's so cold that I'm lucky if the needle moves over 1/4 running hard. I have never even heard my fan start.

 

There's a fan? lol

My area is pretty cold as well... haven't even got to the 1/2 way mark.

 

yeah im about to try engine ice n run full syn oil see what a diff it makes .
