Default OVERHEATING?

Ok, so I looked back to check for reposting, but I didn't see anything, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

I took my bike out yesterday ('95 f3). It was a cool day, probably about 50-55 outside, and cloudy. I was just cruising in traffic, no too bad, and my bike started to get hot, past the halfway point on the temp gauge.

How far is too hot to the point I should be concerned? And is there anything I should look for to make sure everything is ok? If it's getting this hot now, my concern is that what will happen when it gets warmer outside, like bike week?

Thanks guys.

I wouldnt worry, I had the same concern a few days ago...I was practicing slow speed turns in a parking lot for like 30 min and I noticed the temp went above half way mark...I was worried so then I started driving fast on the street and temp went back down..so then I asked the experts here and all told me it was normal..as long as it doesnt go way up then its normal.
Thing about bikes is that they depend on street air as well as coolant to keep temp down. Cars can manage with their large radiators and fans alone so their temp is pretty stable.

I say that if you see it continuing to rise endlessly then I wouldnt ride it.

when it gets to about 3/4 mark, the fan will go on, so it should stay around there
once you get moving at a higher speed, itll fall
