I just installed a used stator on my 97 F3, now there is a ticking coming from the cover area. So I took the cover off and looked for something rubbing, nothing, everything looks good no rub marks at all. Any ideas what it could be? The bike starts right up, the battery is charging and runs great. Steve

 

make sure that you bolted everything back down and wires in there place
