Default New Paint

hey all, just a newbie to this site thought i'd fire up some pics of my newly sprayed bike that i did by myself as a small project.

bought the bike for 900 quid more than a year ago the guy said it wasn't running properly and eventually found out that it wasn't running right due to nearly all of the inlet valves leaking very badly!couldn't bed them back in so managed to get a full second hand cylinder head which i put in and with a little help with timing it back up got it running like a sweetie.

then there was the start of the respray... stripped the bike to the bone i've got pics on my phone of the full process i'll try and get them up.
first of all was rubbing the old fairings down back to the original plastic and the frame of the bike back to the original metal, primered the plastic with a special plastic primer then once that was coated the whole bike covered with a 2 pack plastic primer once that was dry, yes you guessed it.. more rubbing down for the final coat of 2 pack gloss here is the pics of before and after see what you guys think...

cheers

Did you powder coat or pain your rims.
The bike looks good, looks like a new bike.

cheers for the comments its still got a great shine to it, the 2 pack gloss paint is really durable would recomend... The good thing is it doesn't need a clear coat which is the tricky part of painting i would say. Everything right down to the wheels was with the 2 pack.
anyone guess what bike some of the decals came from? think it suits it quite well!

Hey, a lovely result ... your original colour was the same as my F3

The UK black/grey/copper colour scheme
