Seems fair as long as it's running good. Keep a 160 on the rear and you'll be carving corners like butter and keeping up with your friends.

Nothin you can really look for, just listen to the idle and make sure it still has good throttle responce. With that many miles, all one can really do is make sure the valves are in tolerance but you need to pull the head to do that. The F2/F3 are tanks and I don't believe I have ever hear of one dying from natural causes ... only people trying to push extra power.

Just look the bike over to make sure things aren;t all bent up from serious crashes. Things like miss match plastic, big divot in the swingarm, straight rims.

My F3 was in a wreck and I had all the warning signs as mentioned ... I just didn't know at the time. Bike is still great (only 16k+ on the meter thou) after a repaint and some other work. Never messed with the engine other than new plugs and oil. It's at the mileage that I should check the valves, but I'm lazy and have been putting it off.

Also, bounce it some, it shouldn't be bouncy like a 4X4, it should be smooth and somewhat slow to rebound. Just take it for a lil test run and make sure it handles/rides like a smooth machine it should.

Hmm, my guess with the backfire would be that it's already jetted and getting a large amount of fuel causing the backfire. As long as it's not backfiring every time you let off the throttle I wouldn't worry. That is supposed to be an awesome slip-on FYI. How did it look?
