Default New guy....new bike

Hi! So a couple weeks ago I bought a 98 F3 with 23k on it. Plastics were thrashed windscreen was broken in half and driver pegs were bent up. Here's what I've done so far. Replaced the rectifier with a high performance one.Replaced the footpegs. Put on a zero gravity windscreen, carbon fiber mirrors and bar ends, Michelin Power Pilot tires front and rear. And Repsol plastics.

So last week the bike started having some problems starting. It will crank but won't turn over for a couple times then with a little throttle twisting it will start. This only happens when its cold for some reason. Any ideas?

any ideas on the starting problem? could it be ignition? starter? coils? fuel pump?

I can turn the key and the lights come on. It will then crank but not turn over from time to time. But once the bike is warm its fine. And it seems like i have to twist the throttle to get it to turn over. What could it be?

When you start it for the first time for the day, are you using the choke?

Change the way you start it, I don't turn the petrol on till it starts, or blip the throttle, I just use the choke. Have you changed the oil? sometimes a heavier oil will stop it from firing up straight away when cold.

Check and see if your fast idle (choke)is working correctly. When you get it running, turn it on and see if it idles faster. If not, this is the problem. If it does, check your plugs and make sure those are good to go.
