My first bike is a 96 F3 and its a perfect size for a new rider. I have also ridden a 600RR a few days after getting my license and the only difference is that its lighter by about 100 lbs and its real touchy on the throttle. All in all its still a 600 though. Being aware of your own and the bikes capabilities is an important step in choosing one. Honestly you should jump on that F3. Thats a good price and it looks great. As for a 250...dont even waste your time brother. In my opinion they dont offer a satisfying riding experience. They cant handle like a 600 and they are junk on long trips. Not to mention you will always be last in the pack.

Got My f3 for $1800 with 12,500 miles on it and the bike is like a wet dream. My friend has an '04 f4i and I'm faster and louder then him. Jump on the f3 u won't be disappointed.
