Just bought a 1996 CBRF3 a few days ago, and love the bike. Just wondering the best way to carry a passenger helmet on this bike??
How does everyone else carry a passenger helmet?

Put it on the passengers head! Just kidding. You can use the helmet lock or use the strap on the seat just secure it real tight.

 

Yeah but if you put the helmet on the helmet lock, won't it start banging around while he's riding? If it was me i'd just buy some of that bungie net stuff and secure it on top of the passenger seat.

 

id watch out, if you dont have a chain guard then the chain will eat up the helmet. you could always get a cargo net for the seat.

 

ya i cant see putting the helmet on the "helmet lock" and riding around with it. It seems like it would be banging around everywhere. I assume i could try the bungee net stuff....ill have to search around for some and then see if theres even a place on the bike to loop the bungees around.....hmmm.....

Just to make sure this is clearly stated for the CBR F3, the helmet lock is for stationary use only and would beat the living crap out of your helmet if used during riding. Attach the helmet to your seat with a tie down/ bungee cord. Good luck.

 

I second or third the use of the little nets with bungee cords. I've seen plenty of bikes with those on them and they seem to work well. There is a company that also sells a tail bag that will fit a helmet, but then you would have to remove the tail bag when that passenger actually went riding with you.
