Just curious to hear you guys opinion! My 95 F3 starts fine and rides but when it gets to the 4k-6k range it jumps or hesitates, any ideas?

 

Anyone?

 

It may need the carbs cleaning ... check obvious stuff first like air filter, plugs, fuel filter .. wiring connections ..

Also check the air intakes to the ram air system ... look for blockages ...leaves or bees ...lol

What kind of Exhaust. I heard the D&D exhaust on the F3s have a bad hesitation around 7k or so.

Also make sure your air hoses are hooked up there at the Nostrals. And your Regulator could be going bad. When you hit the brakes do you notice the lights dim? Or put the bike in neutral nad hit the brakes. Does the neutral light flicker? Same with turn signal. If the turn signal is on then the tach starts jumping then the R/R is going bad or you have a weak battery.

 

D&D exhaust is what I have. The lights didn't seem to dim when I tried it so don't know but I am going to give it a good looking over in the morn!

 

I had and still sometimes have the same issue my bike hesitates at 4-6k after i get past 6kit then just take off . I checked everything still couldn;t figure it out.Plugs/fuel filter/coils/diff fuel 89-93/even trottle cable thought maybe it was me and the cable was messen up.
But when i hit my brakes my guages dimm a little , but is that because i have HID,INTGRated tail liight pulling a good amount of power. Cuz the hestation on my bike is off and on thing, it hasn't happened in about a week, but now since; im talking about it when i go ride it , it will act up.
The main connection for the RR is sort of melted it still plugs to the RR but if you pull it off you can see the damage. But i never has a starting problem
