To my knowledge the plates themselves are identical, it's the order of, friction plate/steel plate/friction plate that you have to keep in order and yes, they should all be in order. Just double check before removing your old clutch... it's been a while but I think it stats with the friction plate on the outside.
I think I let mine soak for about an hour. The only thing you'll get is your clutch will feel like it's slipping until it sufficiently absorbs its necessary amount of oil. An hour should be fine. If it feels like it's slipping - AND YOURE CERTAIN YOU'VE ADJUSTED EVERYTHING PROPERLY - just like the bike idle for a while and you should be fine.

There is an order to the fibers plates. I outer most fibre is differenct from the rest. If I remember correctly, the outer disk is a black color and the rest are brownish color. Here is the order the clutch should go starting at the clutch center , clutch center, spring seat, judder spring (directional: tabs out), friction plate B, clutch plate, and friction plate A. Just alternate the remaining clutch plates and friction plate A all the way to the clutch basket. About how long to leave the plates soaking in the oil, an hour sounds long enough.

^^^Not a bad price at all for the springs, too.
I paid I think $85 for my Barnett and I think abother $35 I also got new bolts/springs as well. An eBay store is where I got mine, as well and yeah now that you say that I do remember that one different plate - good call.
