Nearly stacked it last night
I was coming home from playing snooker heading towards a roundabout (don't think you have them in the states) at about 80mph, grabbed a bit too much front brake and locked the front wheel (the ground had a bit of condensation on it) very nearly dropped the bike, luckily I got off the brake quite quick.
Someon one on here said "when you start to think you know how to ride a bike, thats when you need to realise that you don't" Just thought I would share the experience.
I think I will take things a bit slower for a while.

Don't worry about it. Happens to me all the time. As long as you are not braking hard while leaned over you should be able to save the front. Just let go of the brake for a sec and reaplly once its back in line if needed. I had it locked up ones while leaned over on a track and thats when i thought that was it, i'm going down. But a sec later i was going through the apex with a big smile and smelly race suit :-) good luck.
