Don't invest in a manual, if you look around this site, people have them for download. If you can't find it let me know, I can email you the PDF version.

Thank me by using the money you would spend on the manual on the bike itself.

Sorry for bumping an old tread.

I have a question. What would be better to connecnt 05 Gixxer r/r with butt connectors or to solder wires?

Soldering is going to make a more reliable connection, but is not very conducive to being serviced. I think soldering is still the best way to go, IMO.

I went with soldering, because there's really no servicing you can do. If it's broke, you're pretty much replacing it.

So I thinkmy regulator issue is back, but maybe something else. I did a check today and somthing is not right. Diodes a all good, but it puts out ~30v dc at idle. From the alternator I get 50v ac with the r/r unplugged, and only ~15v with it plugged in. Does this sound like r/r or alternator?
