my bike is over heating
I'm a newbie to bikes..... the other day I rode my bike on da parkway n I got home had my biike in first n I drove down da block driving 10 mph all of a sudden my bike starts overheatingit goes all the way to the h I turn the bike off n roll it to the parking spot I turned it back on but not the engine n it was still up their ... it turned it on the next day an it was kool again....... the coolant is on the upper level.... n I just change the oil n put the amount the book said but everytime I check it I really can't tell where the oil lin eneds up
Driving in 1st for a block, will heat up the engine more than a sprited ride will, Just for the simple fact there isn't alot of air moving and cooling the rad. But you may have other problems if you just had started to ride it.
Where are you from Exop?
Thermostats are like $25. I'd ****** one up if your bike has some decent miles on it (test yours first). That being said, these bikes get hot - but if you're in the red then it's a tad too hot (which apparently you know, haha).
