Default my 98 f3 work in progress...project thread

im bored and being that im working on it i decided to start a project thread.....ill keep it updated as i make progress
well i bought this bike as my first bike...i must say its been fun learning to ride on this thing....

i decided to ride ina thanksgiving holiday parade this year....so my buddydan and i headed home after the parade which was a good time btw ....stopped at my house to warm up then dan left...i fell asleep for a few hours and the bike sat outside....when i got up i decided to go put it in my grandma's garage which is all of 1000 feet away...i take off down the street towards the stop sign with my feet down...i start braking as i get closer to the stop sign but the road is just filled with wet leaves...needless to say it was like ice....it started to go down (my bike) and took me with it for a few feet....the plastic was so cold the left side and tail shattered into a million pieces and put some scrathes up front.... figures the last time of the season i ride and it gets jacked up....owell im glad i didnt get hurt....so new plastic and paint:banana:

i had fun riding most summer and didnt really do a whole lot to the bike....besides oil change and the occasional lube....towards the end of the season i realized it needed alot....chain, sprockets, tires, all new brakes, clutch, and other random stuff....

dan and i started tearing into it couple week or two ago....

sorry for the crappy pics i didnt have my camera...

sprockets, tire, some brake stuff, and cleaned some of the inches of caked on grease from 10 years....thinking about getting a k&n and a stage 2 jet kit:smile26:......

Looks like fun, what kinda tires did you go with? You should get some steel braided brake lines and some speed bleeders also.

Speed bleeders just make it way easier to bleed your brakes. I bought some but haven't needed to change brake fluid so they're not installed. You'll need a speedohealer if you regear otherwise your speedo will be WAY off.

looks great, makes me miss my f3's. and yes ss brake lines will be a great addition and a speedohealer is nice to have but some people will tell you to forget it its not worth it but if you want to know how fast your going its worth it... also just curious why are you using a 160 on the rear ?
