I ordered a shorty pipe a couple days ago and it should be coming in tomorrow.
I have a jetted Yoshimura slip on pipe on my bike allready. I am wondering if i have to re-jet for the new pipe.........Does anyone know?

you might mate. See hoe it goes first. Shouldnt be a problem to rejet for another pipe anyway.

probably not.. but you will be switching from a high flow exhaust system (yoshi) so basically a free flowing straight pipe system.. so it might run differently

Less midrange,not that these bikes have much to begin with.You may need to "fatten up" your jetting.

Before you take her for a run,remove and thoroughly clean the plugs.Run her a few times,then inspect the plugs.Rejet accordingly.

Not so much "re-jet" as re-tune the jets you have. I only have a Stage 2 in mine, and it still runs rich even with the jets all the way out. These bikes ran rich out of the factory; the Stage 1 kit actually has jets that are SMALLER than stock to correct for this. What you do specifically is going to depend on what you personally want out of the bike after you have the exhaust done. You're going to probably lose what's left of your 5-6k zone, which was already broken on the pre-98 F3s. You can move the jets forward to correct for that, but then you're going to bog slightly around 4-5k.

Depends on how you ride the bike, really. I personally cruise around 6-7k. That's generally considered pretty high for cruising, but I like the "instant" HP the bike has at it's disposal at that range, and thats where the harmonics of my engine and the race exhaust really match up, and the sound the two make together is what I think the sound of angels singing is like.

I commute on the highway alott, and cruise mainly at 6200 to 7000.... and I like the power after 6000 on the highway too, thats how i pass all those slow cars..... 4000 5th or 6th gear around town.
Im mainly getting the exahust for the look of the open tire, even though I do like the sound it produces...
But I want to relocate the shock resevoir to complete the look, any ideas?

Just drill a bolt hole and stuff it up under the tail section. If you're going for the exposed tire, you're gonna want to swap the swingarm out for something that doesn't look an Erector Set. These things are flippin' fugly.
