Default Tail section options

I searched high and low, but couldn't completely find the answers to my questions. The tail on my cheap POS ebay kit has busted for the last time. What kind of options are there for a "different" tail? I've seen the race style tails, but also F4i and 600rr tails. The 600rr tail swap sounds a little too complicated for me, but what about the F4i? I couldn't find any information on the F4i tail swap.A little help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry your out of options and your bike is doomed!

j/k. Well you could buy pieces of the OEMtail plasticsoff ebay and then have them painted. You could do a F4i or even an RR tail conversion but would require finding the tail frame, seat, and tail fairingsfor each bike. You might have tofind some other misc parts for the tail swap but I am unsure as to what. There could be other options and someone else with more knowledge may have one, but I dont. Hope this helps!

What exactly do you need help with? I have molded plastics and fiberglass fairings together for my F3 and have some experience with these things. So let me know exactly what your desire so I can understand what direction you want to go.

Yes I would be interested also to find if anyone has had any experience putting other brands on the 98 F3.
I see a couple of people have experimented with R6 and R1 any other brands? I really like the 02-04 R1 bum but i don't know how that would look on the F3.
I really want to do something as with many people i don't really like the banana seat it just doesn't scream sporty to me, But even so I think I am still leaning towards the 04 RR tail section as it seems as though it is the easiest fit and loads of people seem to have done it.

You can go with a race tail like this one

Or...

I'm working on an R1 swap myself.. Here is a HORRIBLE pic of it just sitting on there, but you get the basic idea.

S*#t I love the look of the R1 03 tail is it? Do you think it going to be allot of work to get it fitted?
Also if you fitted a F4 rear shock on the bike it would look even better because the F4 shock lifts the bum in the air about 2 inches so you would get that real modern sports bike look.

I have also just found this on the Sharskinz website it might be a cheaper option as you wouldn't have to source the 2 x tank panels as they are attached on this tail section.
It doesn't seem like it is too expensive at $225 have a look.

Mine is a 2001 tail, so far I have only cut off the factory tabs where the seat bolts up. I am doing most of my moding to the under tail as opposed to the subframe, I will have to cut the very end of it off though to find a way to mount the tail light. But don't worry, I'm taking pics along the way and I will be starting a thread on the whole thing in an hour or so. As far as the shock goes, mine is lowered at the moment, the previous owner put a lowering link on it that will be going in the trash soon enough. I definatly want more room under the tail, there's something about a decent sized gap that gets my blood pumping.

2008 not much difference in the tail fairings i think its just the undertrays and exhausts that are a big difference.

Man my swingarm has rusted to **** this winter, cant wait to get the F4 swingarm in.

I had a F4 tail on for a while as well that was a simple *** mod,i just had to make a bracket to raise the end of it up about 2 inches.
