Default Lowering Front

It seems fairly easy to do....just wondering how it affects the ride and handling of the bike......say when hitting pot holes and bumps in the road???

Lowered mine about 1 1/2 inches in the front and i did not notice any difference. If you get to low you will start hitting things which is not good.

Try to avoid bad elements of the road. About the only thing I see would be bottoming out the lower belly plastics. It might reduce the rake of the front end causing it to turn in quicker. May also reduce front end lift under extreme acceleration.

Actually it may help you as it will bring the center of gravity of the bike down farther. This should be complimented by lower the rear as well.

Do I need to support the bike in any way when I loosen the clamps to lower it? It seems I would need to either put a jack under the bike or strap the bike up somehow? can this be done with the front wheel on or does it need to come off? Sorry lots of questions...I want to do it right if I do it.

I'm doing it for sure. I've done it on my FZRs. I did jack the bike from under the engine and I haven't had to take the wheel off.

You need to support the front of the bike. I jacked mine up and put jack stands under the frame sliders to hold it up. The front wheele needs to be off of the ground.

I lowered the front of mine with out supporting or raising it off the ground, I loosened the bolts just enough to where the forks would start moving up in the triple, exept on one of them I went too far I had to lay the bike onits side (no stands) to push the fork back down.

I'm glad someone thinks that's funny, I also had to do that when I lowered the rear. It's actually not that bad I just layed a blanket down and put the bike on that, it sits on the bar ends for the most part.

Sorry, not laughing at you, laughing with you. Sounds like something I'd do.
