recently went to spencers and got a sonic the hedgehog energy drink and thought to myself this is way better and not like anything anyone else has, but trying to search the forms i cant find the walkthrough for it, i know its pretty simple, cut and strap but i was curious if theres anything more to it?

Nothing more. First cut out as close to the edges as possible. Then cut slit down the back. Then measure it up to your shock canister and mark/eye a good length. Cut one side. Make sure it looks good. Cut other side. Not too much, cut less than you think if youre worried. You can always trim it a bit more. You will also need to cut some off the width as well because it will more than likely overlap itself. Once you have the can ready, simply unscrew the clamp and slide your can in, then tighten.

 

so instead of just cutting the top and bottom and slipping it on, ill probably need to cut down the side and overlap it?

 

Well im guessing the can is larger in diameter than your shock res (as are most cans). What I did was cut a slit down the back of the can and then trim a bit from each side (width) until it met evenly in the back when wrapped around the shock res.

it just takes some patience and some trimming/measuring. I also added a little line of electrical tape to the back once done so the sharp edges werent so exposed

 

yea, you'll have to cut a small strip off the can since the damper is a smaller diameter than the can.

it was a little fustraighting cause the label was really cheap lol but it looks ok i think, its also to bad soinic isnt running down the side of the can thatd look way cooler

I took the hose clamp off mine and used a zip tie instead. But I used a beer can cause I am Canadaian!
