I am thinking about buying a 97 F3 as the title says, the bike is in good condidtion but does have some scratches on the plastics and it has new tires, he is asking 2000 and i can proabably talk him down some, is this a good deal? picture is of the bike.

2000 sounds like a good deal. What are the scratches from? Miles? How many owners? Was the bike raced or stunted?

i cant remember how many miles are on it, it hasn't been stunted or raced by current owner, there have been at least 2 owners, i was told it was layed down in a parking lot by the previous owner, but they arnt extremely noticable

It's missing the front fender from what I can see. And I see a lot of rash. Who knows how bad the laydown was? If the miles are over 25,000 talk em down if you can. Clear title?

Good luck.

Be sure you take it for a good hard test run, get her up to a good high speed and let go of the bars to see if the front rim is straight. If you get a death wobble, just ease her back under your own power (and that will be a tell-tail that something is up in the front end)

Check the oil, make sure its not as black as night and thin as water. Judging by how it looks, Id walk away if you cant get it for $1500
