at least your not like this one guy on the forum somewhere who wanted to mount his plate to his helmet lol.

 

when i still had my stock seat i just bolted my plate to the bottom of it there is a like 1 inch lip on the seat bottom that drops right behind the battery. and the plate fit perfect. moved it out of the way and was still very visible from behind. I'll have to see if i have a picture somewhere.

 

That would be helpful to see.
