Default LED Headlight mod

Anyone do the headlight mod they are doing on F4Is and 600rrs to their f3? just putting an LED strip along the bottom?

If anyone has and can do a write up on it that would be perfect.

Also, think having an 35w 8000K HID would effect the LEDs?

sure, having a 35k HID would make those LED invisible

I've seen the 600rr with LED strips, the lights are entirely different, I've never seen i done on the F3

naw if I did the LED I would make a way to shut my light off entirely (like when I hit my high beam the light is just off? idk, never use highs anyways), and the LED would be more of a running light for in the day and such

that was my thought at least, prolly wont even do it, just wanted to see if anyone has and what it looks like

ah... well I can somewhat dry run it once I get my new breadboard, not sure how it'll look but worth a shot... you'd need to use some Cree P4 Superfluxs

I have done the LED mod on the F3 and will post pics when I get home. I ran it from the sidelight so it was always on. Not too hard you just. Need to open the headlight using an oven. When my friends first noticed they thought there was an Audi following really close. Lol

I thought I had pictures of it on the bike but can't for the life of me find them. I will keep looking for them though.

pretty sure its against federal law to not run a headlight, cops might give you a hell of a time with it, and not to mention, makes it alot harder to see a motorcycle coming for those distracted drivers.

and spicy: i've done that before by putting a headlight / side markers in the oven to open them up. just got to put it real low, like 150 degrees, and stand there with the light on in the oven and constantly check it. basically youre getting the glue that holds the lense on to get loosend up so you can pry it off. BUT, you can definetly melt / deform it quick if youre not paying attention!!
