Led flush mount rear turn signal issue

I've done some digging and can't find anything to help diagnose my issue. So I have speedmetal flush mount signals that I have wired to the oem wiring harness (light blue / dark green) (orange / dark green) and when the signal is engaged the lights are VERY dim and do not blink nor do I hear the switch/relay as I should (with smaller tag light leds it worked and blinked / relay clicked). The issue most people have is that the lights blink too fast and they get the flasher relay for leds, but I'm having a different problem entirely. Since I was able to make smaller leds work I'm stumped on what this could be. I have a manual and followed the wiring diagram precisely so I don't understand what this could be.. Anyone that has had this problem or know exactly what it could be willing to help walk me through this?

You need to get an led flasher. I got one off of ebay and it works with both led and regular bulbs. One uses voltage and the other uses amperage to function. Sounds like the leds are pulling enough current through the flasher.
