i noticed a spattering of a dark red fluid under my bike today. Not a flood, but more than just a drop. On closer inspection I noticed the fluid appears to be seeping from the highlighted area in the image.
I’m handy with cars, but new to bikes. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks.
@Nath17 Hi and welcome to the forum. I'd start by seeing how clean you can get that area. It will make identifying the true source of the leak easier. There is a good chance it's the oil cooler O rings that are leaking.
Thank you IDoDirt, I thought it would be the case that a seal, O ring, gasket etc. had gone bad. I have booked it in at my local shop and will report back once it’s solved.

@Nath17 If you're handy with cars, then this is definitely worth a DIY effort. Not any different than changing a water pump on a small block Chevy or something similar. A hand full of bolts, couple gaskets and O rings. Clean the surfaces and put it back together tightening the bolts to spec. Save a good amount of money and start your education on motorcycle maintenance to boot.
