Default Just wondering can f4 rims fit on a f3

I am so badly need of a front rim and the 96 to 98 rim are outrageous in price. I can get a set of f4 for free and only have to pay for shipping, would these fit.

The bolt pattern the rotors look the same, but what about everything else?

Thanks
SGB

I've done research on this and I believe that although the fronts are both 3'', and the rears only differ by the f4's added .5'', the f4 rims do not bolt up onto an f3. This is just what I remember, but I hope someone with experience will chime in on this.

Check out this discussion. I don't think it's an absolute answer, but it does give you a few things to check for... like axle pin diameter, etc... My brother rides an F4i, side by side I can't find a reason the back wheels won't swap. Other than centering the wheel in the swingarm with spacers, I can't see why it wouldn't work. However, I've not tried it and my brother won't let me try it. lol.

Just swap out the entire front end with an F4i or something. Sounds crazy but with the price of a $200+ rim compaired to an updated frontend for $400 its not that bad of an idea
