Default Inspection

So my bike has been titled, registered, insured for a a while now and I'm finally getting around to inspecting it...When I bought the bike, there was no paperwork with it, like last time things have been replaced. I kow about the brakes, tires, carbs, and a few other things, but do you think it's a good idea to pay the inspection station however much more so they can give my bike an over all run down or you think waste of money...It's running perfectly sans a rattle when I first start it up that really fades once its warmed up. If I should have them check it out, what are some things i should make sure they go over?
