Default ignition advancer pro's and cons

i can get a factory pro +2 advancer for like 25 bucks off a buddy he's never used it. but are they worth it and down sides to having one. im jetted piped k&n and geared thats all i got. am i going to see anything good from this. thanks

Last year I was running the Factory Pro adjustable advancer. The one that you can set from -6 to +6 degrees in 1 degree steps. I set mine at +4 because I'm also using the Factory Pro Race jet kit. I did notice better throttle response everywhere but full throttle.

Better performance and it only will increase wear a lil. I know some bikes thats been running them for 10+ years.

I have one (+2) because I was able to pick it up for $15. Throttle response was the biggest difference. In my opinion, there was no HP increase. Don't know because I've never did a dino before or after the instillation.

Installing one is a ~30 minute affair - and half of that is probably taking your fairing off carefully. It can only install one direction on the shaft, and if this is an adjustable one, you just set it at +2 or 4 and see what it feels like.

I've got the non-adjustable +4 on my F2, and I have no clue if it adds anything - it was on the bike when I bought it.

all my fairings are off waiting for my red bull plastic to get here so i think i should go a head and just do it. is there any down sides to doing it tho it wont make it ping or anything like that

can't hurt. It's a quick change out if you don't like it.
