Alright Guys,

Im new to this forum...name is josh from LV. I just bought my first CBR a 1996 600SE (Smokin Joe Edition) I have one problem. The individual I bought it from low sided the motorcycle and the right side and front fairing are in fairly bad shape. Cant find replaacements anywhere! Im bout to give up and go to a custom shop. Does any one have any ideas for me?

Yeah ebay is your friend. You prob know craigslist is a good place to look as well. I also look on craigslist a lot even if its not the same state or anywhere close. There has been a few times where i have called the guy in a different state who has what i want, and ill beg and tell him to ship me the stuff and i just paypal him the money or whatever. This forum is a good place to look as well. I got a few fairings that need a little work and stuff but let me know exactly what parts ya need and ill def be willing to help ya out and get rid of them bc they are just sitting around.

 

Probably gonna be tough to find used SJE fairings in good condition. Ebay is worth a look though and maybe even CL. If you want to keep if SJE only, you're going to have to fork up some cash...

 

SJE are NIGH-IMPOSSIBLE to find, that's why you see so many custom-painted ones. You're gonna be on eBay a loooooooong time.

 

Thx everybody...much appreciated. I need Right Lower, Right Upper, The Center Access Panel piece, and the Whole front piece. I did call honda, they want almost $3,000. Thats more than I payed for the bike. I am checking into some custom shops to see if I buy just unfinished plastics if they could duplicate what I need if I provide them with a decal kit.

 

One more Question! On the title My smokin joe is called a 600SE is an SJR the same deal...any differences?

 

Same thing: *S*mokin Joe *E*dition

Thats one of the few F3's that even list the type on the title.

 

I have the sje fairings in my garage. Took them off for the f4i swap. Come to find out one of the previous owners put the sje fairings on a non sje frame. They are in relatively decent shape there are a couple of cracks here and there but nothing noticeable once assembled and are stock durable plastics

 

Would you be able to send me some pictures of them, and the damage? And how much would you be willing to sell them for?
