Default I need help. May have bad fuel pump but not sure

Ok so I was riding with my buddy today and I was in 5th gear just cruising along and the bike seemed to kind putt a little bit and was losing power, I gave it some throttle and it just wouldnt go. Right before I came to a stop at the light, the bike died and wouldnt start again. This happened about a month ago but I try doing some stuff to it and it had been running fine. So what might the problem be? I really dont wanna take it to a shop and pay for someone to diagnose it. Help please

When you turn the key to the on position, you should be able to hear it prime, kinda like a popping sound. If you dont hear that then its not working properly.

You could gravity feed it, bypass the pump and if it runs then you know your problem is the pump.

I would check out the r/r and charging system. When the r/r starts to fail (a common
flaw), it will heat up and then can't keep up with the power demands.

Bike stutters-loses power-dies...then it cools down-bike starts again-runs for a bit, then r/r heats up...

Here's my recommended reading...

Hope this helps, Ern

^ i forgot about that too, another common problem. Pretty cheap replacement part that can cause alot of hassle.
