I don't see why the older seat won't work w/the 97/98 tail section

I have been observing pics of both seats and the curves alony the plastic seem similar. Maybe it will need some tweaking to fit/look right w/ a lil cutting and upoltering. Let me know if anyone tried this. thanks...

I think it will fit but won't wrap around the sides of the tank like the 97-98 seats do. see this pic

As you can see this is a 97-98 tail, used with a 95ish seat. I don't know if there were any modifications or not, but i kinda doubt it.

*if this f3 is anyones on here can i have permission to use your pic? lol

Its funny that you ask this, I am currently working on a seat pan for my 98 F3 using a 95-96 seat. At first glance the seats seem very similar, and to a large extent they are very similar. the 98, does wrap around as earlier explained, also the finished upolstery on the 98 is longer at the end than the older brother, other that that, the plastic base(the part I am using to make my seat pan) is nearly identical. If you are using a pre 97 seat you will need to trim a bit on the back portion that points down on the plastic base. I think it is wider, but it should be easily trimmed down with a dremel or similar tool. If i can get a picture of it in a few minutes I will come back and edit, or post a follow up to this.

Alright, so because I am a bonehead and cant figure out how to add pictures in an edited post here goes anattempt to show the differences in the two seats.
Hopefully this will show the slight differences in the two seats.
