Default i cut up my stock seat

i didnt like how i fit on my f3 ,so i have been trying out a few things out.i like how the rr's are setup with there seating. little high, leaning forward more. so a few days ago i tryed to get that with my stock f3 seat and cut a chunk out of it... i have been riding on it a few days now, and wow what a differences.i dont slide back and forth , i feel i can tuck in better and i also feel what's going on in the rear better (no homo). the only thing i found that's not right is that the front end feels a bit lighter.when i take off hard from a light the front wheels lift up..i know it happens , but it is ez'er now. i just dont know if thats is going to be a neg on my cornering. around town it feels ok,but i havent had any good corners to test it out on ..

This the stock seat

After riding once, i need to fill in the bottom and cut a piece for the front cause i was just useing the plastic pan

then i went to Home Depot and got some shelf liner

Interesting. I've been thinking the seat will be my next tweak.

I'm thinking a little off the sides, flatten the bench out (I despise being slide forward, crammed against the tank) and dishing out for a couple of gel pads for mama and me.

Apreciate the pics of what I'll be getting into.

That was the first thing I did. In the first pic you can see where I cut some of the side

But for me ,the plastic pan was still wide. At that time I was going to heat up the plastic up and mold it in a little

How tall are you and how much do you weigh cause i have the same problem. I'd be curious to know how this seat does with riding two up as well since the sliding is more intense with someone leaning against you.

im about 5'9 165 ..i rode two up today and i didnt have any sliding issue.even with the passenger weight lean on me..i just need to find a way to keep the passenger from slidin.if i didnt throw out the padding i cut out. i would of made a small wage to put in the front side of the passenger seat to angle the bench to lean back. also i have the front dropped 1 1/2 and that dose not help.
On bikes with split seats, dose the passenger slide forward too?

I've seen grippy pillian seat covers online, might be just what you need?

well this has been the best mod i have done to my f3. i was at bear mountain all day sat ,driving the scenic route and working on my corning. we rode over 200 miles ( A+ for comfort). shifting my weight back and forth for corning, another A+ . i dont have to grip the tank so tight to keep the boys from getting smash into the tank all the time ( A+ for that). i let someone ride the bike that rides a F4i. he said it felt like he was sitting in a pocket.
so with all that, this is MY perfect seat. if i wasnt getting deployed this year i would of had the seat re-wrap with vinyl .i did mess up the front of the seat cover.
