I have a 95 f3, when i bought it the previous owner told me that it has an f2 motor in it because the original blew up. Is there a stamp somewhere on the engine that will tell me what year the engine is? Or some kind of marking? I'm looking to get an ignition advance rotor and i need to know which one to buy. Please help, thanks guys!!

 

According to the manual, "the engine serial number is stamped on the right of the upper crankcase." Manual doesn't say how to interpet all the mumbo jumbo though.

 

95-PC25E-2400100 on, Cali Models- PC25E-2400102 on, 96 models-PC25E-2500001 on, Cali models the same.

 

thanks pacemaker, but what about the previous years of the f2? any info on those motors?
