How many mile per gallon you get or per tank.
I think I heardthe CBR can get 300 milesper tank, is that true?
What is the miles per gallon on your F3.
To calulate this, set the trip meter at Zero. Fill up the tank, now ride it until your next fill up.
Now it is time to fill up, note the mileage you have on the trip. After fill up, note how many gallons it took.
Now divide the mileage on the trip by the gallons it took to fill up and the total is your miles per gallon (MPG)
Example:
Trip meter - 332 miles
Fill-up - 3.52 gallons
Now divide this and you get 92 MPG.

RE: How many mile per gallon you get or per tank.
was the math lesson really needed? I just rode out 360 miles on two tanks last week. but that's highway i usually get about 130-140 miles out of one tank ill let you figure out the small numbers i usually just wait for a sputter or a stall then hit the reserve to a gas station

I've had this discussion before, most peopledidn't believe me. I can fill up, ride to my cousins in Nebraska (86mi.), put around 15-20mi. on it in that small city, then ride home (another 86mi.) and I'll be on the low-end of the reserve when I get to Squaw Creek (15mi. from home). That would be around 172mi. on the low-end. K&N filter, and Yoshimura slip-on.Factory jet kit.

I've done as well as 55 mpg on long-range highway cruising, but I'm somewhere around 44 to 48 mpg on a tankful of mixed riding. It seems to be getting a little worse lately, which makes me think it's time to get the carbs synched and valve clearances checked.
