Talking How to make your bike Trigger those TRAFFIC LIGHTS

If you can't stand those red traffic lights
that never see you when you are on your bike,
then try this trick!

sometimes they work, sometimes they dont.
ive heard mixed reviews, and it only works for certain sensors.

I find myself running a couple red lights everyday between here and work.
So I glued a magnet to the bottom side of my fairing.
I will see if this takes care of my problem.

its legal here in NC for a motorcyclist to go through a redlight if he is the first in line in traffic and the light wont trip. any other states like that?

Thumbs down Its a Scam!!!!

How can it work. For those that think it works, put a paper clip on the ground and park over it. see if it picks it up. Then there is no way then this will go threw the pavement and into the ground. To trip the Light

the sensors in question aren't "magnetic" so much a they are inductive. they can sense a metallic mass within a certain range. the setup on your bike doesn't need to be a magnet so much as an electromagnet that is generating a larger field than the bike typically repesents.

that being said - it's still a bunch of guesstimating and hoping all the sensors are this style.

Waste of cash IMO. Everyone should buy a F2/F3 - us old steel-framers don't seem to have the problems as much :-) j/k

+1

Ive noticed a huge difference between my aluminum framed ZX6R and my F3. My kawi will pretty much never trip the sensors whereas my F3 almost always trips them at the same lights. Also-theres a parking garage I regularly park in on campus that has a U-Pay station to exit. It has the same kind of system in place as stop lights. It has to sense that your there before itll let you insert the ticket and pay. It wont sense either of my bikes off the bat but if I put the kickstand down on my F3 itll pick it up. It never picks up my ZX6R no matter what I do (such a pain in the *** lol).

Another suggestion I head from my MSF Instructor said turn off the bike and restart it. Sometimes that produses enough of a electrical field that it will trip the sensors as well.
