Default Honda CBR600 97 Turbo?

hey, ive been asked if i wanted a turbo kit for bike costing £1995 running on stock compression 0.9 psi boost and pushing 160-180 bhp on the back wheel, would this be a good idea or should i just buy a RR? with this power i would have to extend the rear swing arm, any suggestions on what i should do? thanks

The numbers don't match ... under 1# boost will not yield 160-180hp at the wheel. Depending on the turbo it would most likely take 8-10# of boost to get you in those numbers. Can be done with stock pistons but you'll have to retard ignition a bit when the boost hits.

Hey Steve, I read ya loud and clear Just didn't want anyone to be led astray with claims of rocketship performance. It's just a service I provide out of love for the forum community

I've been toying with slapping one on the Rod ... but so far I've been a good boy and resisted ...

My guess he means .9 bar and that would be just over 13 psi. Not sure in the bike world but in the car world 13psi on a stock motor... 10:1 ish compression... That's a TON of heat and asking for a shotgun blast on a motor... Unless it's a diesel... But that's apples to oranges to pancakes...

too pricey IMO.
you can build your own turbo kit, or get one installed on your bike for a lot cheaper, at least around here.
