high idle

Thanks for reading my post. I just recently bought a 98 CBR 600 f3. The bike runs great. The problem that I am having is after I warm up the bike enough to have no choke on as it warms up from sitting the idle gets higher up to 3500. What do you think I need to do? I'm new to bikes but I work on my cars so any direction would be helpful. Thanks

left hand side where the fuel pump is, there's a little black knob with a white washer looking thing, turn that counter clockwise and it'll lower your idles...

isn't there a limit to how much you can turn that thing though? i remember reading on here that someone managed to unspring the mechanism by turning it 1 way too much

and i thought that high idles past the 2k amt are a sign of unsync'd carbs?

high idles? no. if she fluctuates a lot, then possibly.
let the bike get warm and take her out for a run...
after about 20minutes or so, put her in neutral and kickstand her.

adjust the idle by the nob down by the fuel on/off/reserve switch
i believe counterclockwise will be what you are looking for, as it will decrease the idle speed.

i would set the idle at around 1500 warm for now,
or what the manual suggests.

my bike idles about 1500 until she's warm, and gets up to about 1900/2000 after a decent ride.

i actually prefer a higher idle,
but that's just me.

i have mine ideal at around 1500 on choke and once its warm it gets to 2500first and few sec. later to around 3000. of the choke i have it about 1200 and when i get a nice ride out of it it does go up to about 1500-1600.

I got a 97 CBR 600 F3 and it shuts off when I'm in neutral and come to a stop. I keep setting the idle to 2k but it keeps going back down. Any idea. I've read maybe low oil levels? And low idle but idle keeps going back down for some reason, I'm going to check again TM and make sure it's not me messing with it that makes it keep going too down but yeah idk. Also read fuel pump. My fuel pump is also leaking a bit anyone know how I could rebuild my fuel pump?
